Camphor White Essential Oil


Cinnamomum camphora(l)nees

Native to Japan and Borneo, this camphor tree is now found growing in many countries with subtropical climates due to its diverse uses for domestic and medicinal purposes. Camphor oil is referred to in 4 grades (or fractions) of essential oils – White, Blue, Brown and Yellow. Only the White variety which is a clear colour, is used for aromatic purposes. Used through the years to ward off pests (moths and insects), White Camphor may also assist muscle and joint soreness and help with systems of respiratory conditions.

Safety Notes

Due to its 1,8-Cineole content, avoid using White Camphor essential oil around babies and young children. Avoid using old essential oil that may have oxidised as these may cause skin irritation or sensitisation. Not to be taken. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult with a qualified healthcare professional before using.
