Based on estragole content, Star Anise must be used with caution. These chemical constituents can potentially be carcinogenic and may inhibit blood clotting, and cause hormone modulation. We recommend that Aniseed Myrtle essential oil not be used on babies or children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, estrogen dependent conditions (ie endometriosis and cancers), blood clotting disorders. If using topically, use a very low dilution rate. Avoid using old essential oil. Not to be taken. Keep out of reach of children. Max dermal usage 2.7%.

    I do not really like the smell of anise, but this oil from Heritage is much nicer in aroma. The smell is intense, in high concentrations it can be intrusive. But when diluted correctly, it is very subtle and refined, it goes well with many essential oils.
    I use this oil to massage for digestive problems and inhalation for colds and coughs. Also, the diffusion of anise myrtle oil helps to purify the indoor air and has an antibacterial effect.
    I love the combination of anise myrtle, lemon myrtle and citrus oils.
