Pre-Exercise Massage Blend

Did hitting the gym or heading out for an early morning jog make your new year intentions or resolutions list?

We know that having the motivation and creating momentum to keep to your exercise regime can be difficult! Your muscles might still be a little tight from the previous session, or you’re feeling drained from the day’s work, but you know that you’ll feel better if you go. So have you considered using essential oils to provide help in preparing your mind and body for your next workout?

We’ve created an invigorating massage blend to help you get the most out of your exercise regime. A pre-exercise massage blend using essential oils may assist prepare and energize the muscles and body for vigorous exercise, focus the mind and body, and promote feelings of wellbeing! It may just be what you need to get yourself out the door and pound the pavement.

 

What you need:
4 drops Ginger Essential Oil
4 drops Lemongrass Essential Oil
4 drops Rosemary Essential Oil
5 drops Mandarin Essential Oil
3 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
50ml Moisturizer Base or Fractionated Coconut Oil
50ml jar or amber glass bottle (depending which base you use)


Instructions
:

1. add the moisturizer or carrier oil into the jar/bottle
2. add in the essential oils. If using a moisturizer base, use a sterilized spoon to stir in the essential oils. If using a carrier oil base, simply add the lid, then gently turn the bottle over several times to combine ingredients.


Instructions:
Before exercising, pour a little of the massage blend into your hands and rub together. Cup your hands together over your nose and inhale deeply to awaken the mind. Then before stretching, rub a small amount of this blend over the areas of the body you know need the extra care. This could be the joints, legs and calves, lower back, shoulders or anywhere that could use a little warming up. You may also wish to rub a little on your chest to benefit from the ongoing aroma. If using a carrier oil, you may wish to wipe any excess oil off before using exercise equipment. Ensure to wash your hands before exercising to avoid slippery hands on equipment or accidently rubbing the blend into eyes.
