Christmas Gift Ideas – DIY

Stuck for a small Christmas gift for a colleague, friend or your child’s teacher? Here are a few easy ideas for handmade gifts created with love!

Know someone who likes to hit the gym? Gift them with a handmade Post Workout Massage Oil to help soothe those tired, overworked muscles and joints. How?
In a 50ml amber glass bottle add 7 drops Kunzea + 6 drops Black Pepper + 6 drops Peppermint + 6 drops Juniper Berry, then top with a Carrier Oil (half Arnica Infused and half Sweet Almond would work well here). Pop the lid on, gently turn the bottle over several times to combine ingredients. Lastly, add a homemade label detailing the name, purpose, ingredients, any safety data (ie patch test before use, avoid eyes, inner ears and delicate areas, not for children) and date! Done! This creates a 2.5% dilution.

Know someone who loves perfume? Create them a Natural Perfume Pulse Point so they can enjoy fragrance in a totally natural way. How? In a 10ml Pulse Point roller bottle add Essential Oils -1 drops Jasmine + 4 drops Cedarwood Himalayan + 5 drops Mandarin + 1 drop Ylang Ylang, then top with Vanilla Infused Oil. Push in the roller top and pop on the lid, then gently tip the bottle over and back to combine the ingredients. Lastly, add a homemade label detailing the name, how to apply, ingredients, any safety data (ie patch test before use, avoid eyes, inner ears and delicate areas, not for children) and date! Done! This creates approximately a 5% dilution.

Know someone who loves their bath? Create handmade Soothing Bath Salts so they can soak away the stresses of the festive season! How? Place 1 cup coarse sea salts (or Himalayan) into a large glass jar. In a small bowl, combine 50ml Sweet Almond or Castile Soap with Essential Oils – 5 drops Lavender Tasmanian + 5 drops Frankincense + 5 drops WA Sandalwood + 5 drops Valencia Orange. Pour the oil mix over the salts and stir well to combine, then lid. If you like, you can add a pop of colour with a teaspoon of dried flower petals (rose, calendula, chamomile or lavender). Lastly, add a homemade label detailing the name, how to apply (1/4 cup under running water), ingredients, any safety data (ie patch test before use, avoid eyes, not for children) and date. Done!
